I play every day of the week except on sundays, and shoot high eighties, and I have had around 8 sets in my entire life. The rac irons are easily the nicest feel that i have experienced, even though they are not the best shot, they keep straight and high and pretty much everything you might want from an iron is inside this club. I can not remember any time in the last 5 months that i have hit the green and rolled off, they have nice spin.
NOT rubbish at all

i got the taylor made RAC OS set cheap on ebay. i had up till then bid on about 5 sets and was happy when i won them. i played the next day and i have to say that after trying 4 sets in the last 3 years (including some mizunos) these are without doubt the best feeling clubs ive ever used. i specifically wanted clubs with a little more weight, and these feel perfect. enough weight to make dinks effortless and not to much to make them easy to over hit. i know that probably 30% of golf is in the head but if they make me feel more confident i start playing better and hitting truer which in turn makes me more confident in the club.
on any normal round i would expect to hit or more mis-hit about 5-6 shots today was 1 and thats just down to the fact i slipped in the very cold conditions.
but around excellent clubs, the look, the feel, the strike and the balance

My first set of "serious" irons and I love them. Started out with a set of Golden Bears with stiff flex shafts and couldn't hit a ball straight to save my life. By comparison, the RAC OS with regular flex steel shaft feels like butter on impact and the ball flies straight and true, and FAR! I guess the time may come when I will need to progress beyond these clubs, but for a golf rookie like myself, these clubs are a confidence inspiring and handicap reducing dream.

i play golf around 4 or 5 times a week and have played with several different types of clubs and the rac os irons are my favorite these clubs are very forgiving especially for someone who struggles to hit that sweet spot on the irons that they have now the one thing i have noticed is that the clubs are a little heavier compared to the newer callaways and newer taylormades

These irons i think feel the best out off all the irons that i have hit and or plaid with. Yeah they hit very solid and very forgiving and i play wonderful with them. Oh and a good beginners iron cause of the weights in the back of them will help instead of regular irons.

I am not a fanatical golfer and typically play about 4 to 6 rounds of golf a year. My best round was a 96 and have only broken a 100 a few times. After player with my Mizuno MX-15 the previous 4 years (which I grew to loath) I wanted a change. So after seeing the RAC OS on sale and after reading a few reviews I bought the clubs about a year ago.

When playing with any new clubs I have always found there was an adjustment period and there was no difference with the RAC OS. I don’t go to the driving range often so it’s trial under fire so to speak. Initially I was having a bit of trouble hitting the ball cleanly and I was even more inconsistent than normal. But even from the start, when I hit it right, my distance was much improved. On the range I use to hit my Mizuno 5 iron between 150 – 160 yards. After 7 rounds with my RAC OS irons, on the range, I was consistently hitting my 7 iron the same distance with a lot more height.

Now on the course I am still hitting the ball too fat too often for my liking, and I am still too inconsistent with my long irons, especially with my 3. But even after only 7 rounds with these clubs I have never hit my 9 – 5 irons longer, higher and more consistently. So even for the occasional golfer like myself I would highly recommend these clubs.

These clubs are great. I bought them used from golfers warehouse for about 130 bucks! Unbelievable deal. They are forgiving, feel great, and I hit them straight. I recommend these clubs to anyone, no matter your handicap.
