Unbelieveable..... prolly the best putter ever made. I bought a two ball when they first came out thinking that it was the greatest putter but i was sadly mistaken as i found i still putted liek sh*t. I personally am one sh*tty putter. i usually ave about 38 to 40 putts a round and allready my first two rounds with the futura i had 29 one game then 27 the next. its so easy to line up and stroke the ball perfect. but it is still possible to 3 putt

I was kind of skeptic at first, until I tried one of my buddies Futura on the course and I instantly fell in love with it! I've been using the Odyssey Rossie II putter for the past 4 years and over the last few months I've been struggling making the 5-10 footers. So I got on ebay and got a Futura and I am now making the "gimmes" without a problem. I would deffinitly recommend this club to anyone who needs a little help with the short ones. The Futura makes it so easy to line the putts up. It's Amazing!!

My golf buddy just p/x`ed his 2 ball for this new SC Futura putter, he said that it was making a huge difference to his game. The alignment problems at address that he has been long suffering; have now disappeared. I asked him if he would be kind enough to lend it to me for a couple of days so that I might try it for myself. I`ve taken it to the course 3 times and played approx. 36 holes and just can not believe how good it is. This new putter should be made illegal straight away by the R & A. I mean; someone who always has a 3 putt at least twice every 18 greens visited (me) can play 36 holes and not record a single 3 stab without any prior experience or practice with this new fangled putter thing. It practically lines itself up to the cup over shorter putts using the flat bottom & three holes in it`s body. The only criticism I can throw it`s way would be to say " it`s better suited to very fast greens, due to it`s lack of weight "......... The putter encourages you to make a better/more positive stroke through the ball because of it`s low weight & good feel/balance to induce excellent/true roll at low putter head speeds. I will be getting mine very soon. (B4 it`s banned!)

I just received my Futura (ebay purchase) and added a 23g weight. I had a chance to play with it this Saturday. Well I'm not going to say this is the holy grail of putters but it is very well balanced and the added weight promotes a better pendulm swing. Once you get over the looks the Futura just feels right (IMHO). I went to the course to practice putting and after about 30 minutes I decided to check out how the Futura would do under game pressure. After the round I feel (now) stepping up to a 6-7 footer I have more confidence (a line is imprinted on the weight so it's easier to align my putter) and I Feel more comfortable (even more so than with my SC Newport II). On longer putts (10-30 feet) the Futura seems to hold the line better (kinda point and shoot) and distance control is also better than my SC Newport II (I think it's the face balancing on the Futura plus the added weight, which also gives it a better sound "More Solid"). On my SC Newport II I my misses were to the right (more of a push) with the Futura my misses were more do to with reading the line wrong and when I did miss I could now tell what I did wrong (couldn't do the with the SC). I only have only 1 problem with the Futura and it's the cover (it's a pain pulling on and off). You can't tell how it really performs unless you try it on the course. I tried it in a golf store an really didn't like it, but I bought it anyway (knowing that if I didn't lile it I could resale it on Ebay), I'm glad I did! So to end this I will say that the Futura will be my starting putter this upcoming season and the SC will be my backup. Yeah the Futura is ugly, yeah it's big but it works for me.

In short the best. I have played the game for four decades now and have had only four previous putters, all blade types. Since I played once a week, pre-Futura, and believed in that old adage that if you play once a week your GHIN gains a stroke a year, twice a week it stays the same and it only improves when you play three or more times weekly I accepted my fate. Of course I was living testament, since moving to Oregon from California nine years ago I have seen my GHIN increase about one stroke per year. And yes I play all 52 weeks in rain, wind, and endure frost delays, the works, always with the exception being the time we got snowed out. Earlier this year when my GHIN hit 22 I decided to upgrade through technology to counter the slide. As of next week I will have completely overhauled every piece of equipment in my bag. The putter and driver were the first changes. I have played the Futura since mid September along with a new Adams Redline Driver (another review). Now with the current GHIN revision my GHIN sits at 15.5 and is still going down (caveat: even though technology mitigates that old adage) I found myself enjoying the game so much I am playing more. Enough said. The Futura is very user friendly, feels solid, balanced, provide full confidence and almost seems to correct the line on miss-hit putts. I was always a great putter but this one is unreal. My feel for speed is dial in anywhere. I played Cinnabar Hills in California two weeks ago and didn’t miss a beat on green differential. I am almost automatic within 6 feet. Longer putts are just missing by inches in line but not speed. I don’t know if I will ever three putt again. The obsession continues as I purchased last week a weighted custom engraved insert with a 1/8” sight line in order to improve my abilities on longer putts. My rationale for adding weight is that the winter rains will slow the greens down and the Futura was made for the Pro tour’s faster surfaces. The adjustment to a mallet style has not been a problem I did carry my old putter for about 6 rounds as a security blanket. It’s gone now. Nice novelty item. Every buddy in the club has to try it. Even strangers ask me if they can try it. It is a putter that you can use from the get go to improve your scoring! That for me is what it is all about. EXCEPTIONAL VALUE-Since I have carried my putters for an average of 10 years I look at it as if the Futura is costing me less than $30 a year and it has already paid for itself this year.

I had the 34" version and loved it. Picked up the mid version and like it even more. In the past I have had belly putters but distance control was difficult. The Mid Futura does not have that problem, incredible accuracy and I love the site lines that are now on top of the putter. I have tried many putters but have found none that perform as well as my Mid Futura. I am a putter nut, but this may just be the magical flat stick I have been looking for.

I have high handicap but I'm a good putter. This weird looking putter feels good, weight is good, grip and feel is really nice. I love the way it works for me. The only thing though is that it looks like a freaking sandwich on top of my golf bag with its headcover. If you're not after the look and you don't care that your putter's headcover reminds you of a sandwich your mom used to make, then go out there and try this.

I purchased the futura after seeing a number of tour pro's switch with some success. I looked at all of the reviews on the net and had a look at scottycameron.com and everything pointed to the fact that this was the putter for me. The putter arrived and I headed straight out onto the course to try it out. At first I was a little disappointed with results, I couldn't seem to get the putts rolling straight. I put this down to first time usage and convinced myself that I would improve as I got used to it. I didn't. Six rounds later the putter was on eBay. I can't quite put my finger on what wasn't quite right but I think it was something to do with the fact that the Futura doesn't automatically set up straight. It seems to naturally set up pointing left of the hole (I'm a right-hander). I tried to iron this problem out by deliberatly trying keep it straight through impact but I couldn't seem to get the hang of it. The putter also seemed a little suspect on longer putts, most short putts seemed a gimme but the longer ones were very problematic. All in all a reasonable putter but there are better ones out there for my game. Give it a try - hopefully you'll have more success than I did. I've recently switched to a Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2 and cannot talk highly enough of this putter - I'll be posting a review shortly.

This putter is unconventional I agree but the alignment and setup are not. I have found the putter to be very comfortable in my hands, but must admit I like more weight in the head to give me more feel. I have found through experimentation that adhereing 10 nikels ( five, placed from the bottom side, in each of the first two of the three openings)gives this putter wonderful feel. Scott Cameron is probably steaming right now, but it is NOW the best putter I have ever owned. It is worth all $200, no, make that $200.50 that I have ever invested. Many have no problem spending $300, $400 even $450 on a driver they use 14 times a round. Find a good putter which you will use 33 times a round and help your score. Maybe not the Futura but find one it will pay big dividends. My Dad says " Drive for show...Putt for dough"
