Maxfli Noodle Balls

Maxfli Noodle Balls

DESCRIPTION

Maxfli''s research and development department set out to create a ball that combined the seemingly incompatible qualities of long distance and soft feel at impact; it was called Project Noodle. They succeeded in their quest, and the Noodle was born. The secret of the Noodle is a high-energy, low-compression core material, soft-yet-durable Surlyn cover, and a high-launch 408-dimple pattern. Want maximum distance without a hard feel? Try the Noodle, the ball with the intriguing name and outstanding performance.

Tried this ball and shot my best two rounds of the year 76 and 78 from back tees where I normally shoot in mid 90s. The Noodle added 15-20 yards to the driver and played straighter than any other ball I've played to date. So it gets my approval on the long part. Also picked up about a half club in distance in the irons from the fairway. Maybe I was just swinging better than ever when I was using this ball? As for "soft" I found this ball impossible to hold on greens - sometimes appeared like they landed on trampolines. I was screwed if I couldn't play a run-up shot or if there was a forced carry over a bunker to a small green. There's no forgiveness in chips or half wedge shots. It does feel good on the putter and rolls truly, but you might as well play a cheaper distance ball like a ToppFlite. I don't know why the Noodle is more pricey here than what's listed in other reviews. Going for mid to high $20s per dozen in northern Colo.

I had played for a while before I tried the noodle. I have always had fairly long drives at about 280-300, but my short game never was that good. I played with a female friend of mine and I tried one of her balls, and I ended up liking the low compression of womens balls. I looked for a low compression ball to hit the market and the Noodle came out just in time. I normally shoot mid 80's, but my first round with the Noodle cut at least 1 stroke every 3 holes. My short game has improved because of the soft feel out of rough and out of sand, and my longest drive ever is now 335 yard, with the Noodle of course. A+ product.

Normally a Prov V1 fan. Play Mp33 and the noddel sems to fly farther and stick better than the PROV1. I found a nooddle on my local course. First hole I hit a PW edge to so so 13 ft , sunk the sliding putt. Next hole it 8 iron to 8 ft sunk the birdie putt. Next hole hit another 8 iron to 6 ft , missed the putt - bad read... good putt Played courses toughest par three uphill 190yds to pin, stuck the noddle with a 4 iron to 2 foot made the birdie. Yipee first time ever been this close on this hole. I could not quite get my driver to make it go quite like the PRO V1 but I think I'm going to go buy me some HOT noodles.

My friend gave me a sleeve to try and I love these balls. I hit 15 yards longer and for the 1st time in my life reached 605 yard par five in two. Soft and long, that what ad's say it's TRUE. If you are looking for extra distance for a great price, get the NOODLE.

all the hype is just that, advertising. This is just an average ball with average feel and average distance and they bust open if you play one ball long enough. They're ok, just ok.

I went on a mission this summer to find the perfect ball. I played all these balls for many rounds. Titleist Nxt Tour, Pro V1, Pro V1 star. Maxfli A10, Callaway Hex red and blue. Hogan Apex Tour. All the balls had a flaw except the NXT Tour for me. I felt it was the best all around ball for me. I went out and bought 10 dozen. Notice the Noddle wasn't even on my list. I went to Myrtle Beach and was playing well. We were waiting on a tee and there was a ball by the tee. It was left there and was beat up some what. It was a Noddle. I have never even tried one befor. I hit my tee shot on the par 3 flush. I figured I was in the middle of the green. After the rest of the group hit I threw the Noddle on the ground from the tee and hit it. I didn't hit it square at all. We went to the green and I went to the ball on the green thinking it's my NXT Tour. I wasn't. I was shocked. The NXT Tour which I hit square was short of the green. The Noodle was 5 feet from the stick. The next tee after I hit my NXT I tried the Noddle again. I honostly hit it 20 yards further. I used it again the next hole and hit a bomb off the tee and hit my wedge 3 feet for birdie. I was sold. The Noodle is awesome. I knew nothing about this ball before I tried it. It's only $20 too. I don't know why but this is just better for me. I bomb it off the tee, can spin it, can work it, and it puts true. I am a 5 hdcp with 105 swing speed. ENOUGH SAID

I received a dozen Maxfli Noodles midsummer as a gift. I am happy to buy them myself now. The ball is longer than any I have ever used, adding five to ten yards per club. I find it easy to pitch and chip and it putts extremely well.

My boyfrield gave me a sleeve of Noodles because he said they flew farther than any other ball he had ever used. I loved them and gained about 10 yards. However, since I tend to hit the fairly straight, I don't lose many balls and therefore kept using the same Noodle for about 12 rounds. After the 12th round I noticed a slight dark line on the cover but on the next drive the ball didn't go more than 150 yards. When I looked at the ball there was a large open crack in the cover. This has never happened with any other ball before. To me this shows inferior workmanship. I liked the soft feel on contact and especially when putting. But the quality of the cover would make me hesitate buying any more Noodles.

Very nice ball and just like the ads say: it IS long and soft. I hit it as long as the XL2000/3000 and yet is so much softer on the green, I have even backed it up a couple of times (which is very rare for me). I use it exclusively now having switched from the NXT tour.

Hated 'em... I've tried just about every ball on the market claiming to be longer, or softer (and those few who claim to be both), and while I was happy with the cost of the noodle (aprox $20 a doz), I refer to the old adage that you get what you pay for. While the noodle was long and soft off the driver, it was neither the longest, nor the softest. And where it counts the most, ie chipping and putting (I miss my fair share of greens) the noodle felt no better than a "rock" flight 2000, or any other "distance" ball I've tried. Simply put, 1/2 wedges, and putts feel like you're hitting anything but a "soft" ball. So if you're looking for a ball that adds a bit of length to your driver, is easy on the wallet and aren't concerned about feel on and around the green, then the noodle is your best bet. But for the money you get a better ball in the Lady Precept. If you're looking for something with better spin to the green without sacrificing length off the tee, then give the Callaway CB1 a try. At only $5 more I feel they're the best bang for the buck for the amateur wanting a balance of distance, feel and spin.
