Maxfli Noodle Balls

Maxfli Noodle Balls

DESCRIPTION

Maxfli''s research and development department set out to create a ball that combined the seemingly incompatible qualities of long distance and soft feel at impact; it was called Project Noodle. They succeeded in their quest, and the Noodle was born. The secret of the Noodle is a high-energy, low-compression core material, soft-yet-durable Surlyn cover, and a high-launch 408-dimple pattern. Want maximum distance without a hard feel? Try the Noodle, the ball with the intriguing name and outstanding performance.

Played a round yesterday. It is long indeed. However, I had trouble making the ball stop on the green.

Before I describe the 'Noodle' I must give a short synopsis of my game. First, I need a distance ball primarily w/driver. Driver distance is on avg. 240, I have a 44" shaft in a Ping ISI for control. I shot in low 90's but occasionally in upper 80's but not enough to warrant embellishment. The Noodle is a very good ball, its soft. But not as soft as I expected, which is good for me. Kinda used to playing firmer distance balls. As far as distance its longer. Can't really say how much exactly but its longer... I only played 9 holes with it after work. One thing I noticed is with the driver the first bounce was 'Huge' and plenty of roll. Other reviewers have stated that the Noodle is long and soft as advertised. An it is... with a strong wind in my face, ball still flew my normal distance. In short, this is my new ball of choice.

I was in the process of slowly replacing my first set of clubs last year as I moved from being a hacker to being a bogey golfer on a regular basis. It seemed every place I went (golf shops, department stores, etc...) the clubs with the price I was willing to pay that felt good to swing were Dunlops. This was true for the Woods, Putter, Wedges, and finally the Irons that I bought (each seperately and a different product line, but still Dunlop). Anyway, these Irons are very forgiving, improved my distances by at least a club length, and very affordable. The 3 and 4 Irons are especially wonderful to have. They are hybrids, extremely accurate and long, and allow me to actually play all 14 clubs in my bag.

My golfing buddy has a set of Calloway X-14s that he let me try one time, and they are very similar in look and feel, just priced about ten times more than the NP2.

A buddy hosted a golf outing last summer and gave everyone a sleeve for coming. I had a bag full of Strata Tour Ultra’s and put the Noodles in my bag for a about a month. Later, starting up a new round I decided to give them a dance. Right away, I noticed the distance, easily 12-20 yards off the tee, 8-12 from anything in the fairway. I had no problems stopping this ball off any of my wedges, and was able to back up a few off the 56º. After that round, I loved the way this ball played so much; it’s all I’ll play now. Add to that, I can buy 2 doz of these for what I was spending on the NTX’s or Ultra’s I was playing before, this is a Heck of a deal. Lastly, how much fun is it walking around with a hat that screams “Long and soft”? Okay, maybe that’s the one draw back.

Somewhat soft and somewhat long but do not excel at either. Might as well buy top flite since they are cheaper and better balls!

If you're looking for a ball that has a great feel from tee to green then this is the ball you want. I got great distance from my irons in windy playing conditions. The ball held it's line and gave me great distance. Around the greens the ball bites like a pitbull!!! This ball putts true and has a soft feel coming of your putter. I played with just 2 balls for my entire round (got 1 ball wet) and they held up good. Personally for the price you can'y beat this ball I luv it.

Excellent ball, best ball for the money. Its soft in the greens while putting and are extremely long off the tee. I have hit my longest drive ever for a whopping 350 yards. I average about 270-290 off the tee. The ball will spin off of a wedge so the ball will bite depending how soft the greens are. Excellent ball, my favorite so far.

First of all, I don't pay golf balls over 20.00 per dozon. I think it's a waste of money. There are too many good balls out there that are reasonable and should be play by everyone. Noodle is indeed Long and soft as advertised. It's a great feeling hitting 20 to 30 yards longer and sitting at a different part of the fairway for the first time. It's very durable. It has a very soft feel for putting. The only slight criticism I have with this ball is I wish it bites better when chipping. But I guess you can't have them all. Great ball overall.

This ball performed extremely well. Originally tried it after I met Gary Mccord at a local sporting goods shop where he was promoting the ball. Ball has plenty of spin and I have no trouble sticking it when I need too. I was playing the Top Flite Aero earlier in the year and had trouble controlling the distance (often went too far) and did not have enough spin, as well as the Slazenger Challenge (they sucked, I have no idea why I used them for anything besides shag balls). Ball typically goes 275-285 off the tee for me, but the best feature is that I have more control of my irons.

I rally enjoyed playing the Noodle. It is long and it is soft, especially on the green. I had no problems "sticking" it on the greens. It had plenty of spin. What is really nefty about the noodle, it does not scuff! At least the balls I played did'nt. NO scuff marks what so ever. In summary, The Maxfli Noodle is a players ball. It's kind and forgiving. Try it, you'll like it.
