At last, an acceptable combination of distance, feel, and spin. I played the Pro V1 for about three months. Loved the distance, hated the rocket-like chip shots. This ball replaces my previous favorite, the Precept Tour Premium, which did not have the distance I preferred but performed admirably in all other respects.

The Strata TU goes very far (about 3-5 yards less than Pro V1 or Callaway Red), feels softer than the Pro V1, Callaway Red, or Revolution Solid, and spins much better than the Rev. Solid or Pro V1. Holds up better than a Tour Premium, but not as durable as a Pro V1 or Rev. Solid.

Given the performance of this ball, I can't believe it hasn't received more attention from better players. You will not be disappointed.

I tried this ball and had some severe shearing problems with it. Performance was OK, but trajectory was a little too high. Spins well around the green. If it's such an improvement over the Strata Pro, I wonder why Hal Sutton is still using the Pro?

This ball doesn't cut easily (what scratch golfer actual cuts a ball, anyways, what a load of crap)?

I will say it is a lot softer than an d*mn Pinnacle. It feels similar to the ML Balata to me, almost spins as well too. Slight tendency to scuff with rusty wedges, but that's normal unless you are hitting rocks.

Four starts is because it's a little spendy...

Wow. Did a head-to-head yesterday with a Strata Tour Pro. Off the tee STU spins less and distance was +15 yds avg. Irons and wedges feels like the STP. My best shot yesterday - 280 yd 3-wood! For my game, I'll still use the STP at $20 a doz. However, the STU is quite a treat!

I thought this ball was great! Last year I hit strata pros and titleist pros. This ball is better than both. I've never hit it better off the tee. I think it spins about like the stata pro. Putts true will not bounce as much as some other balls. While I have not tried the Prov1 this ball is the best yet. Guys, don't worry, the logo will be on the next balls you buy. The first few batches did not get the logo.

This one does go farther than Pro V 1. Feels good off clubface, holds ball flight pattern even in windy conditions, chips and putts well.
Only drawback I saw was that it became scuffed up more than other balls.

After playing as many balls as I could possibly buy, i finally found the STRATA Tour Ultimate. Not only did it have a very soft outer shell but it was explosive (due to the tugsten energie core). Even with the soft cover it didn't scuf of break. A very good ball (a little too pricey).

I was playing the Pro V on the front nine and was having a bad day. So I decided to switch balls at the turn, maybe to change my luck. I took out a Tour Ultimate and WoW! While it was comparable to the Pro V in distance and in feel. The accuracy of the ball was amazing. I spun it back on a couple of wedge shots so I know that it had alot of spin. I proceeded to break 40 on the back nine. I had just lowered my score from the front nine by ten. Needless to say that this was the first time I broke forty. Terrific ball. I think that the Pro V is an excellent ball, but just the fact that I broke forty with this ball has made a good first impression.

Great ball! It's long enough, spins like crazy, putts very well, and is very controllable. My only negative is durability. After a few swings (maybe two holes) I can see scoring marks on the cover. This hasn't happened with Strata Tour Pros or Pro V1's. That said, when I'm playing a tournament, this is my ball.
