Very good, if a bit overpriced, ball. Unmatched for short irons, wedges, and putting. Less dominant in the driver distance category, but still good. If you don't hit a lot of greens in regulation, and depend on chips, pitches, and putting to score, forget a distance ball. Get a ball that plays to your short game strengths, like a ProV1.

This balls can be described in one word, outstanding! It's long off the tee, soft off the putter, and plesant off the irons. With my irons, I can spin the ball a ton with the Pro V1. I love it and I recommend all serious golfers to get these, despite the price, even though it's going down this year.

Pro V1 is a great ball. I am a feel golfer and the Pro V1 feels consistantly soft on every shot. I can't notice much in the distance area of inprovment but on my approach shots I can get it to bite and even spin back on some greens. Great ball if you can afford em'!

Ok look, this is a great ball. It hits long off the tee, putts really nice (because of the soft cover) And most important to me is the short iorns...This ball will stick and roll back like you wouldnt believe. But try to jack one if you can...They are spendy...

I agree with an earlier review that this is the most durable ball I have ever seen. You can easily play the same ball for weeks, assuming that you don't lose it. The ball is long off the driver, but on short irons I think it loses some yards (for me, anyways). Does lining up the seam trick really work? I've tried it and really can't notice a difference. The ball spins A LOT. I am a high ball hitter, and sometimes it spins too much, sucking it off greens if they have false fronts. I think I will try the Pro V1* next.

I found one Pro V1 and at the next hole, i drove this baby 275 yards down the middle of the fairway. However, I would not waste my hard earned money to buy a golf ball. Cause you're bound to lose it or scuff it up anyways. Find one, steal one from your friends bag or do whatever you want to do to get one. Its definitely lives up to its hype but it also will drain your pocketbook.

Very nice soft cover ball (I prefer them over the HX Blue's because the cover will last a lot longer [with the Blue's they last maybe a round and a half before being so scraped up that they're deemed unusable]). I have a fairly fast swing, and these seem to compliment my swing with a majority of my clubs. Very nice both off the tees and off the fairways. Excellent control with short irons and wedges, and putt ok, although I think I've gotten one or two that were a bit unbalanced, but playable. Expensive balls, but whenever I buy a sleve or two, I always know I'm getting my money's worth.

I'm a high handicap golfer who usually hits drives off the tee 210-230. The Titleist Pro V1 definitly will add 10-15 yards on a well hit drive. The problem I had with this ball was on the NON well hit drive (which unfortunitely happen frequently for me). My normal slice was accentuated by at least 25% making the extra distance I received somewhat moot when you're forced to play out of the short rough. After watching some of my better playing friends play this ball, I'm convienced that if you consistantly hit true straight drives you'd like this ball much more. However, as someone who shoots in the high 90's, this ball is just too unforgiving. Durable but fairly expensive too. I'll stick with the Lady Precept.

First review on this site prompted by an earlier post. Does a ball really matter when you're a mid-handicap? This one does. It is the longest ball I've ever hit, period. Spin rate is optimal for me. I can stop it but don't ever worry about blowing it back. And it is THE MOST DURABLE ball in history. You can't do anything to it to hurt it. It is expensive, but I'm worth it! Incidently, when matched with my Titleist 975F fairway woods, I'm now hitting (or getting darn close to hitting) par 5's in two consistently.

From using pro Vs i have already droped three shots in the last month. I have greater distance of the tee and a softer feel around the soft greens at my home course. The Pro V is certainly the ball that i will using for a while. It is worth paying a little extra for to benifit from its results.
