By far the best ball out there. Plenty of distance off the tee and real soft around the greens. What else do you want? Does anyone know why Titleist waited so long? Similar Products Used: Nike Tour Accuracy, Maxfli Revolution, Precept Tour Premium |

I normally play a titleist professional and loose distance but gain control. With the new Pro V1 392's I can keep the control but gain more distance. It really helps on long par fours and par fives. I recommend the Pro V1 392's for a golfer who plays the professional and wants to gain more distance off the tee and can still spin the ball when needed as you do with the professional. BEST ball I have ever played. This one is really long and spins great around the greens. Putts true. I would highly recommend this ball to anyone wanting to have his cake and eat it too. Similar Products Used: Everything |

Well, I hit it over the "sissy hill" on hole #1 on my first swing with it. Sound good? Well it was on the fly and it was 45 degrees out and the sissy hill is 258 yards off the tee. 260 carry in the cold. I'll take it. Oh by the way, it spins just the right amount and fits nicely in the hole. Customer Service Customer service from Acushnet has always been top notch. They make a great product and stand behind it. Held up very well, despite my best efforts to get the ball to "crack a smile", with only slight scratches to the cover. A 397 yard drive, I play only this ball now!! Similar Products Used: Most Others!!! |

First of all, I got a dozen of these balls for free about 6 months ago. Here's how: I had a whole bunch of Titleist second-hand balls I ordered about a year ago. They seemed kind of weird-feeling, so I emailed Titleist. I asked them if I could send a few in and have them check to see if they were legitimate or not. They told me they were quite old and had been repainted, but yes, they were at one time real Titleists. They said that for my troubles they would send me some balls. I asked if I could have a dozen of the new Pro V1's, and surprisingly they said yes. So I got them a few months ago in plain white sleeves and in a plain white box and they have been sitting downstairs since until a few days ago. I took one of them to the course the other day and was amazed at the performance. First, I got at least 10-15 yards extra off the tee. However, I noticed no real gain in my iron shots. They did seem to upshoot a bit, and sometimes this led to me being a few yards short of the target. I gave it to my friend to try, and he was amazed too. He is normally a big hitter and hit 2 balls off one of the tees. His Titleist Tour Prestige was 20 yards behind the V1! His chip shot checked up and stopped dead after two bounces! The balls feel like a Top-Flite from the tee and like a Titleist Professional everywhere else and have a ton of spin. My only complaint about this ball is its durability. My Cleveland GunMetal gap wedge that I hit into the first green put a lovely kind of shear into the cover. My GunMetal wedges seem to rip up these balls. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of these balls and would recommend them to anyone who can get their hands on them! If anyone has had a similar experience to mine while playing, email me at Ozc1500@aol.com. Thanks. Similar Products Used: None |

Great ball and thought it was a fairly good deal at $40/doz. I played them before but finally ordered them recently and waited a month to receive. Worth the wait. Have played 54 holes with the same ball. Good cover but does turn yellowish after a while. The Pro thought there were similar balls for a better price and told me I would be back in a month, but I don't lose balls very often so at this pace I think my 2 dozen will last quite awhile. I don't notice any great difference in distance +/- as I hit the ball pretty far to begin with, but do seem to have a great deal more control. Even from the rough the ball seems to hold the greens better or just rolls off a foot or two off. Good feel with the putter too, so it's a great all-around ball adding more playability to my game without any sacrifice anywhere that I could tell. Similar Products Used: None |

This ball has excellent distance but it balloons off the irons way to much so you will find yourself behind the green in a bunker instead of on the green where you normally are. The price they get for these are crazy, $54.00 a dozen when you can go get the new strata tour ultimates for $36.00 a dozen and you will have almost as much distance, more spin and better feel plus $18.00 more dollars in you pocket for another round. These prov 1's are a ripoff just like the callaways. Similar Products Used: Prov1,professional,tour professional, tour ultimate, revolution,mc spin, top flite xl 2000's. |
