This ball really does it all if you are good enough to play it. It is an axcellent compromise between the hard ball for distance and the soft for for feel and controll. Plays like a hard ball off the tee with little spon to add distance, yet has enough feel to stop and back up from a seven iron shot. It may be a lot of hype but play it and see for yourself. It is worth the price for a sleeve.

The Titleist Pro V1 is as soft as a marshmellow yet flies like an F-16...no hyperbole intended!! This ball has a good feel, yet I would like to break some myths regarding this golf ball. In order to work the "true magic" of this golf ball, one has to have a very high swing speed which is well controlled. The average tour pro achieves 120 mph plus; controlled. Yes, I believe that the average golfer can and will experience added distance by using the Pro V1, but the results will be marginal, if not negligible. The psychological factors involved with this golf ball may become dominant, in which an individual may selectively retain that special drive which was 300 plus yards, only to repress the other thirteen which were 225 yards. These are the individuals who say, "I'm hitting the ball 10 to 20 yards longer!" Whilst paying $50 to $60 dollars to have a box of these beauties, one will believe the hype. For those who repress the fact that a Pro V1 costs as much as a bottle of Panteen Pro V shampoo get the soap out of your eyes. The Pro V1 is a good ball with great hype.

This ball is very good at all aspects of the game. I am hitting it farther (exactly how far, I'm not sure) and I am able to spin it better than any other ball that I have tried. It feels softer than other three piece solid balls and it seems to fade/slice to a lesser degree that other Titleist balls. The price and availability are serious factors in my further use of this ball.

This is just balancing out the idiot below who seems to think that this site is for people to play games with for their own warped pleasure. Pro V1 is a very good all around performance ball. While it may not be the end all ball for everyone, it is a very good preformer in all categories with no real weakness. Price may be an issue, and there are many good high performance options available these days. Read the seriously written revies and give some a try.

I got this ball when it just came out for a great deal at one hundred bucks. For some reason this ball just couldnt get off the ground the whole way, but I have never gotten a ball in the air really unless I get lucky. Its not the good of a putting ball becuase I putted off the green several times with my Spalding Putter. I still think I am good enough to use these balls, Tiger does since he is sponsored by Titleist so he has to. I am hoping to get some lessons from my friend, Tiger, he has been playing for a long time . I think I need to get rid of my golf clubs and buy new ones because they just arent acheiveing the right ball flight For some reason, everytime I swing. the ball continues to roll on the ground and it really hurts my game when it goes in the rough. So Hopefull by Getting Some Maxfli Australian Blades it will help my game. Very Horrible Ball I didn't like it all since it never got off of the ground, horrible feel off the club face also and it didnt sound right when I skyed it on the 10th. Hopefully I will break the 150's soon, Its just not good when I have to take more then double par on each hole

Wanted to find out about the hype and used some credits at the pro shop to pick up a three balls. Played one ball for 71 holes and the ball held up. For a good player, the hype is true, I like the "drop" and "stop" characteristic of the ball off the mid irons, but the ball did not release well on mid chips. But, if you can't break 80 it's a waist of money. Oh, I lost the ball on the 72 hole trying to fly it 220 over a lake.

I'm not going to make any claims on how much farther these balls go or anything like that. When people make these how do they know that there ball went 10 yards farther? 5 degrees warmer air creating thinner air could do more than that!! Anyway, I played my first complete round with this ball. It is the perfect golf ball in all respects. Hits nice off the Driver, Irons, chips and putts very nice. You gotta try it! It's the best equipment upgrade you can get for the money!!

Funny thing is I was expecting a 400 yard drive with my first hit, but it only went 290. I thought it felt like a marshmellow as well. I finished my front nine, then went back to my Callaway Red. (awesome ball!) A few weeks later I decided to try it again. Again nothing spectacular happened, but I began to notice that nothing bad was happening either. As the weeks have gone by I am getting used to this ball doing everything very well. Not as long as some, but still quite long. Not as spinny as some, but very predictable. What this ball does do well, is everything. I think the ProV1, the Callaway Red (not blue!), the Nike TW, and the Strata Tour Ultimate are all great balls that will do what you want.

This is a great ball! My very first round that I played it, I loved it. It has a great soft feel to it. With its soft cover, you are able to spin this ball back easier than other balls out there. But unlike other balls with good spin, it is great for distance and control also. It is spendy though, but if you golf often it is a good buy. It will lower your scores.
